Sun 1 THE MUSOS AT EUDLO at 1 to 4pm with a special Joan Baez Tribute performed by Christine Venner-Westaway who will perform songs that Joan sings - mostly covers she has made famous for the writers, and of course her own signature song "Diamonds and Rust". Christine assures me all the songs are fairly well known and afford good audience participation in the choruses. She will be accompanied by guitarist Steve Dorahy who will play 12 string guitar as well as a 6 string and mandolin. Christine will also play guitar and she will have Mary Brettell's wonderful deep, rich voice singing harmonies with her. Of course we welcome other performers to our stage and the Open Mic will run as usual before and after the Joan Baez Tribute. See details: Website and here at FACEBOOK

Sat 7 MUSIC BY THE SEA CONCERT, Presents: AUDIO/VISUAL SPECTACULAR Dangerous Song - blue Performed by Linsey Pollak & Lizzie O'Keefe with extraordinary underwater cinematography by David Hannan. 'Dangerous Song - Blue' connects our hearts with the planet's heart through the exquisite combination of endangered animal calls with the human voice and stunning underwater cinematography. Linsey Pollak plays a digital wind instrument where breath, lip pressure and fingering control sounds of endangered and extict species using Live-looping technology to instantaneously record layers of music. Lizzie O'Keefe joins him, weaving her voice in and out of the musical landscape of animal sounds in a series of original "songs". It's a song for the planet - an inter-species choral work, and they're singing for their lives! If their calls don't affect you then nothing will. 7:30pm at the Sandgate Town Hall, Seymour Street, Sandgate. Tickets available online at www.musicbythesea.com.au and a limited number available at the door.
Lizzie O'Keefe and Linsey Pollak have started a Crowd funding Campaign with the Australian Cultural Fund to record our second album: 'Dangerous Song - blue' and we need your help to raise $5000. This project is very close to our hearts and we would really appreciate your assistance.
